I came out of work today to find a dent about 3 inches from top to bottom in my drivers side front wing. Obviously someone had stopped beside the car and opened the door only to hit my car. There was white paint in the dent which thankfully has T-Cutted out. [!]

Why are people so inconsiderate as to do this? I'm one of these people that parks in the farthest corner of the car park to avoid getting my car marked.

the metal on the brava is a bit on the thin side too, dents really easily. touch wood - all my dents pushed back out. including one that appeared when the boot was slammed!

I haven't a dent or a scratch on my Stilo yet and the metal is thicker gauge than on the Brava! [^]

FIAT Stilo Sport. Pretty Much Bog Standard Really. Rear Roof Spoiler,
Sill Protectors, Aluminium Foot Pedals, Eibach 30mm Drop Springs.

Looking at it, it's a pain to get at to push out. The paint is intact, but I'll need to remove the splash guard inside the wing to get at it. Has anyone any tips on this?

Sorry to hear about that.
Try a dent removal kit. You get some hot wax or similar and a stick. Then pull the dent out. Should get them from halfords or good motor factors shop.

I've noticed this too - no major dents yet but lots of places where the bodywork looks that little bit 'out'. Hope you have it sortd soon Steve .

I found a couple of these places on the net last night, so I'm going to book an appointment with them. Hopefully it won't be to expensive. I'll let you know how I get on with them and if they're any good.

My dad wanted his scenic to be perfect, for door dents, we got ripped off like £40 a door, we had 3 doors done and he "only" charged us for 2, took him about 5-10 mimutes and he was off!

Watch out Steve and be careful what you agree to for what will be so easy and cheap for them to do; we learnt the hard way.

If you were in Nottingham, England, we know have a friend of a friend who does our servicing and any body work. Our car was previously owned by a man who had a wife who was disabled. HEnce it had a few nicks here and there. £100 odd and 2 days later, it came back like new! We could never work out how he got rid of some of those scratches etc.

Hi,

Paintless Dent Removal is very good. Had a couple removed on my Sei buy a local chap.

It should be no problem if the paint is'nt damaged.

there is an old trick you could try,if we get another very cold frosty night come out and poor a kettle of hot water on it they sometimes pop out.

Thing is to act quick, it is easier to remove a fresh dent than one that has been there a while, personally, I'd be quite happy paying around £40.

I know what you mean about it being annoying, when I had my Saxo (it was brand new) it picked up a couple of similar marks, only I could ever see them, but knowing they were there was bad enough

Tough luck anyway mate, its a sod, particularly as someone has knowingly done it then buggered off[!] Just imagine my face when I found a heap of a Pug 405 parked into my 4 week old Stilo[V]
