Hi all

I have a 2004 fiat idea 1.4 16v, which starting to judder only very slightly when under acceleration, mostly in 4th and 5th gear when the pedal is down to the floor. But its very slightly. It will do it say for 10 min or so and when you park the car up to pop to the shop or something like that and then drive of, it stops. Ive put injector cleaner in it the other day but it still doing the judder, all the plugs have been replaced the other month. Any idea guys. Cheers

Odd that it does it after a warm stsrt.

Probably a sensor.

Worth uncoupling the battery negstive lead overnight..

ECU will go back to factory settings.

May just 'forget' whatever is acting in a poor way.

Radio code should be fine.. the body computer recognises it as part of the cars systems.

Its stops when the car is warmed up. Will give the battery trick ago. How long do i need to leave it for

At least an hour..

Just so it FORGETS the LEARNT settings.

You will have to reset clock..and radio stations.

Will give that ago later on. We got to do the tesco run. Only started to do this the last few weeks. Its booked into a garage for a check over. Its just abit strange how it stop after you give it a run. Am gonna do a 8 so mile drive now and it will judder slightly under load. Will report back

Probably a temp related sensor.

It may measure temps of:

Coolant
Air
Fuel

Diagnostic tool may help.. but the basics are relatively cheap and simple.

Have you checked oil and coolant levels?

Did the tesco run and going there, the car was juddering when full throttle in 3,4,5 but again only slight. As soon you take the foot off and potter about at half throttle, u dont notice it. Did shopping and the car was fine on its run home. Oil fine in it and water is fine. I have had the yellow/orange triangle warning ligth on with the ! On it for over a month now. U1602 code CAN line error,BUS off intermittent. Was told the car would be fine to drive. Any ideas whst this code means
