Sorry but this is posted out of total frustration.

We bought a 500 Abarth in March, Great car, weve had one warranty claim & a minor Accident. What has become aparent to us is the total shambles Abarth call parts supply, We are left waiting weeks for parts, Its on back order followed a few days later by it should be here in 5 days, then they find they need another part & we start again.

We had a light front end prang, not enough to break the lights so we needed few parts, bumpers on back order, no radiators in the country, 5 days from Italy. The car had the check engine light on, not obvious why to the dealer so they raised a querie with Fiat technical, same problem, took them days to get back despite the dealer & me chasing (I shouldnt have to). We are now well into the fifth week, I drove the car in for what should have taken 3-4 days to fix :bang:

Theres someone else on http://www.abarthforum.co.uk/ whos car is in the same garage as ours for repairs after an accident & they have been waiting 3 weeks longer than us for parts. One part they need is an SS wheel, dare I say to customer service, open up a SS kit & let them have a wheel & replace the wheel when you get one or is that to easy

WHAT is wrong with this company, they design what is probably the best car for the last few years & then just walk away from the customers.

Amongst our fleet weve had 3 Skodas in the last few years, covered probably 300,000 miles in them (the one we still have is on 151000) & yet we have never had to wait for more than 24 hours for any parts.

The cars are selling like hot cakes & they must be coining it in or at least in a better position than many manufacturers so why cant they perform. More cars in the market = more spares sold, we all know how inflated spares prices are so it actually helps the balance sheets to be selling lots of spares.

PLEASE FIAT, if anyone is reading this snap up your act. remember the happy customer is the greatest sales person that you have. The unhappy one posting things like this on the web can only harm your sales.
Proove me wrong & make 2010 the year when you finally come good. Someone in your organisation has designed some stunning cars giving you all good jobs, support them & just maybey we can be convinced to buy Fiat next time.

Sorry for the length & negative nature of the post but Im just becoming increasingly frustrated
