JUST GOT BACK FROM FIAT!! What a bunch of assholes

sorry right but i have just found out what you do with keys everyone on here is wrong or mislead!!

FFS Please make this a sticky thread!!!

HOW TO MAKE BLUE KEYS WORK FROM A RED KEY....

EASY!!!!! (DONT GO TO FIAT THEY CHARGE £120 for 2 blue keys) - BLANC BLUE KEYS!

Go to anywhere that sells fiat keys get 2 blues keys (blanc ones) £40 i cudda got them for (but because i thought they needed coding in some way i went to fiat and paid £120 for the exact same keys! BLANC KEYS! "Assholes"
METHOD!
Get them cut to the same as your red key but dont ask them to touch the chip -
Get your master red key
turn it on but dont start engine
wait for immobilzer light to go out
put first blue key in wait for light to go out
put second blue key in wait for light to go out
put red key in wait for light to go out
then try blue keys

Please note that this whole process needs to be completed within about 10 secs so speed is essential!

The ecu writes the code needed to the blue keys from the red key!!

It took me 5 attempts i tryed 2 times went to fiat (where i paid £120 for the blanc keys in the first place)!!

Asked for help which they told me it would cost £38!!

WHAT A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!!!!! (as said b4)

i then kicked off in the shop where people was waiting to have tours of the cars ( so hopefully i have cost them a sale)

Moral of the story is DONT GO TO FIAT FOR SUPPORT OR ADVISE AS THEY ARE FULL OF BULL**** AND TRY TO DRAIN EVERY LAST PENNY OUT OF YOUR WALLET!!!

kind regards a concerned Fiat driver! __________________

great, however there are many ways to get blue keys
just checking this site on the stickys/faq's and guides could have given you pertinent information
you asked for 'help' well those people you asked for help need paid
sales and tech are two different things
as for 'kicking off' ,what did that achieve for you?
people in the showroom probably thought 'look at that asshole'

lol i didnt kick of as in a violant way (like an asshole) lol, BUT i did make it clear that it was a **** take that i had just spent 120 pound with them then drove 7 mile to get them cut then drove 7 mile back and they wouldnt come and help me code them into my car. A Job that in the end took me 10 seconds, cudda and wud of cost me 37 quid by anyones standards thats steep / (TAKING THE ****) lol sorry i was still seeing red when i wrote this post initially,. Due to the fact i was also mislead by the information they told me the day b4!

Kindest regards sam mckenna!

;) I did wonder what sort of response this Thread might get... I was tempted to advize the OP that his Thread was a big broad brush and may need some qualification but hey....

Its a shame people bang on, shout and abuse every dealer for what is perceived as a general thing. I am looking for a good deal wherever I go but I wouldnt want to think I was as ingracious, although I do remember some previous Posts of mine on Fiat Dealer Servicing costs...

Moral of the story is to research what you plan to do but dont go off on one when you find out after you comitted that you made a wrong choice.

sammckenna your my hero......not! because if you looked here on the forum it tells you in step by step detail how to obtain/programme code 1 system keys, try doing it with a code 2 system.....you cant! And thats where people get confused.

oh look you were told this 2 days ago;

OK here goes......
1)go to dealer/timpsons/woolworths/sunday market/asdas wherever you want to get 2 blue keys. I state dealer because alot of cheaper keys that you can get can sometimes have difficulty programming thats all not because i'm biased.
2)Get keys cut to same pattern as your red one.
3)Leave the shop/market/supermarket(delete as appropiate)
4)Try cut keys in car door to make sure they are cut correctly
5)Get in car
6)put red key in ignition & turn on,wait for code light to go out(about 3 secs)
7)take out red key & put one of the blue keys in,turn ignition on,wait for code light to go out(3 secs)
8)take key out & put other blue key in,turn ignition on,wait for code light to go out(3 secs)
9)take blue key out & put red key back in again, turn ignition on,wait for code light to go out(3 secs)
10)take red key out.
11)try both blue keys & make sure engine starts with them both.
12)put keys on key ring
13)drive home
14)switch on PC & access Fiat forum website
15)Donate £5.00 after all you have saved £££

It's not rocket science;)

And do you not listen to reddy4bed's or numanR's advice? ( https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-brava/174359-fiat-bravo-y-reg-only-red-key-help-please.html ) :shakehead:

https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-brava-marea-faqs/100562-red-blue-keys.html

So there are plenty of choices and if you made a more expensive choice then how is that Fiat's fault? There is no need to come on here being rude about hardworking Techs at the dealership who have only done the job YOU asked them to do following the advice you were given on here, which supplied you with several options. They don't deserve this kind of abuse (n) Last month I needed a new sump and fair enough Fiat cost three times as much as anywhere else but I wanted it fast and they could supply it fast so I was over the moon and that IMO was worth the extra money I paid for it (y)

Chris thats fine, its nice to know you and the other guys are ready to support dealers, and techs, and not see them all tarred with the same brush, which was the point I made in my first post back to Sam, and that after calming down he saw and acknowledged. Sometimes, writing things down on a forum can help get your anger out, (something I have been guilty of), but usually your comments come back to haunt you, (I know about that), so as long as Sam has realised, and I think he has, and others have seen the thread and read it and been informed by all the comments disputing Sams original post, then I think thats job done.
