schuie clutch judder.

My car has developed clutch judder but not all the time , if you pull away with the revs slightly up it,s fine but if you dont it judders, the gear change is fine no resistance in any gear, goes in gear easely and reverse, you just need to blip the throttle when pulling away for a smooth take off ,any ideas anybody ps if the clutch is not adjusted proper does this cause it to wear prematurely i e wearing out quicker than it should or is this untrue, my clutch is quite fierce but not heavy and bits near the top it took some getting use to when i first got the car , many thanks regards marino bottali.

generally a lack of adjustment is apparent when the clutch bites low, biting high is more commonly a sign of ware, several things can cause judder, a broken or warn part of the clutch itself, contamination- dust, oil etc on the clutch parts or fly wheel,

R E Cluthc judder. I noticed yesterday that after driving the car and leaving it to stand for a while then driving off the judder was apparent, is this due to heat sink (where high temperature is generated in the engine, gearbox, clutch etc when the engine is switched off thus causing the judder also am i right in saying the engine runs hot under normal operating temp ,when using the heater the hot air comes through quickly from cold but there is no overheating problems, could this be partly because of being the summer months, mabe a different story in the winter could this not be helped by the fact that the engine conpartment is very small and every thing is crammed into a small space , i once owned a renault 5 gt turbo that run hot too everthing iscrammed and buried in a small area, also i noticed today the sump paint flaking off the corner and rusting, what are these made off and any idea how long it will last ( i suspect this is anmot failare)thanks for any info regards marino bottali.

If you put a relevent thread title rather than your forum name as the title, you would probably get more replies to this.

Just a bit of advice
