OK ... the F1 season is upon us.

First off... I certainly do not support Schumacher, but he is by far THE best driver in Formula 1. he joined ferrari when they were no body, and with his help, he's made ferrari into the team to beat.

I'm a Montoya and Williams fan... pretty dissapointed that he is leaving for Mclaren at the end of the season.

Changes for this year are:

1 engine for the race meeting.
Launch control is now banned
changes to the qualifying. i.e. 2 sessions run back to back on Saturday.
pit lane speed iimit changed from 80km/h to 100km/h. This will impact on race stratergy.
during Friday and Saturday, all but the top 4 teams (Ferrari, Williams, Renault, Mclaren) can run 3 cars, the 3rd car carrying race specific advertising.

As for recent seasons, I got to the point that I was going to stop watching F1, but last season was fantastic. there was close races, and the championship came down to the last race. Here to hoping this season is as good as last years!!

Judging by the qualifying today it's business as usual for Ferrari. I'm not a fan of Michael Schumacher, but he is a great talent.

Don't forget the other Italian team, Minardi.

I stayed up to watch it... and fell asleep on lap 36....

The best bit was Martin's Gridwalk!

Not impressed with the new graphics either... to fancy and too small!

I was going to stay up but by 1 I got bored, was listening to 5live and they said it wouldn't be on for another 2 hours. I hadn't bothered checking what time it was going to start so was it really 3? I fell alseep within a few minutes, oh well, what an anti-climax. I like the new RPM metre of the TV, they rev just higher than my uno

Well, I've just had my Sunday dinner, wathced half of it, taped the rest and going back to it soon, you are right, it's boring, and Ferrari are dominant again, this makes way for an uninteresting season, not Ferraris fault, they're just too damn good!

We will have to wait another season maybe until another team becomes dominant. It won't go on for much longer, it never does, does it?

i dozed off halfway thru, and i watched it this afternoon!

As expected. Where's the thrill in watching a load of cars drive round in an unchanging line?

I watched it, looks like another Red year! I'm a fan of Montoya, the next four races with give us a clue where the title will go! Hope Button does well this season, keep the Brit flag flying!
