Nope, been looking for a lancia forum myself but all the ones I find have tiny communities. (because they are too specific, like evo models only etc.)

Which Delta?

More geared towards integrale's http://forums.delphiforums.com/evoforum/

Part of the consortium http://www.lanciadelta.co.uk/lounge/

Don't expect either forum to be like this one, its a generalisation but most integrales are owned by late 20's to 40's folk who have the spare cash to run them as 2nd cars, the banter can be pretty good with lots of needle matches between a few folk, asking daft questions with out reading the FAQS generally gets a roasting, but the knowledge base is very very high.

IF your mate is based London thena trip out to see Keith at Auto Integrale in Reading is a must as he will give car once over and service it correctly at good rates an offer advice on any upgrades planned. http://www.auto-integrale.co.uk/

THo Zagato are based in London, have a great parts department, have been know to be very expensive to fix things http://www.lancia.org.uk/

There are loads of great links on these cars if you search for them.

Forgot to add J-P's site is pretty good, you will have seen his car at many Italian car days like Gaydon on Sun as he has the Repsol replica http://www.evoforum.net/index_show.html

Your mate had just missed this years London2 Brighton run as well where all Deltas were present from GT i.e's up to Dealer Collection EVO2's, over 130 of them makes it good fun on drive down from London cross country past Devils Dyke and such.

Aaron.

No worries, John Whalley's site has some info on them with regards to numbers produced http://www.whalley-integrale.uk.com/index2.html

As do Walkers who have the best parts department of any, but are know to be pricey for work and buying 'grales from http://www.walkersgarage.co.uk/

Mine is not a limited edition model, but is one of the homologation models made to comply with regs on competeing in WRC, so has water spray system for intercooler etc, and is in optional metalescent black, which on the London2Brighton run turned out to about the rarest colour there as the LTD edition like th eyellow ones seemed to be in big numbers, they were meant to make 2500 of these, if they did is open to debate as Lancia as with most manufacturers tried to manipualte numbers a little

I have a book somewhere called "Tutte di Lancia" (Every Lancia) in other words, it might take me some time to dig it out, but I'll have a look.

since i cant find myself a lancia forum I am asking here..
a friend of mine has a delta integrale 16valve with a bit of a problem.. sometimes when the car warms up it switches itself off and will not start for a few hours.. spark is still available when this happens and the fuel pump works aswell.. any ideas what can be wrong??

Hi, I own a lancia y 1.2 3doors LHD that I bought new in 1999, in 2007 I brought it to the U.K and it wasn't easy but I registered it here. By that time I had to do an insurance by chassis number, again, it wasn't easy but I found 1 company that would do it. Unfortunately due a change of address and an expired credit card that company wasn't able to get me to renew my credit card details so they cancelled my insurance.
Since last september my car is stopped (SORN) because I can't find any company that would give me a quote for the simple reason that the model of the car doesn't come up in any U.K insurance's database, yes it sounds unbelievable and makes me wonder if I'm really living in London on the XXI century but hell yes we live in that era where if it's not on the system we get a "sorry there isn't anything else that I can do for you".
Anyhow could someone tell me if is there anyway that the model Y from lancia could make it on U.K insurance's databases? I would love to know what else I can do to address this issue and where.

Thanks in advance

Hi Sude, used to have a Y10 Turbo. It was like a schizophrenic Jack Russell Terrier. Lazy and indolent up to a point.....then went berzerk. It was a very flawed motor car but one which will remain in my memory longer than almost any other.

There is an owners' club in the UK and as for insurance, you could try a broker like Footman James who specialise in older and classic cars. You could almost certainly Google both or failing that, buy yourself (or have a look at one in W.H. Smiths) a copy of Classic and Sportscar magazine. There may be a display advert or failing that look through the classified ads at the back.

Hang on a minute, I'll save you the trouble

A look at the advert for insurance on the club's Home Page is interesting.

Enjoy

Yeah, quite probably, it rode like someone had welded up the springs as well. Because it had a carburettor the turbo lag was so bad you could put your foot down then get your fags out, take one out of the packet, spark up.....just about in time for the turbine to spin up.

But, I have to say it was the most fun car I've ever driven in (how long? Bl**dy 'ell) 38 years. Even more so than the Porsche 911 Turbo (wasn't mine) but it was also the most flawed. If you consider the 0-60 time was about 8.5 seconds I can only guess what it would have been without that lag.

Also, I always wondered about that cut off rear end and it was only after the Sei came out that I thought the Y10 was actually a styling taster for future models.
