well apparently i cant have one, the marea needs a diagnostics on it and no one can come do it, tried the REC who said only cars 02 onwards and AA said they cant do anything atall so there advert is a load of ball then.

greenflag cant do it either, is there no one that can? where can i get a truck to take my car .1 of a mile? it wont start but cant be towed for the lack of brakes/steering (okay its a straight line to the garage but in reverse.)

get some mates and push, cant it be towed with one of them poles, or do you still need brakes/steering, cause i always imagined towing with one of them would be towing a really long trailer :chin:

you tried your local garages, most would probably come for a few beer tokens

For 0.1mile? I'm going with the pushing option. I regularly push mine about on my own (albeit not that far) so a few mates and it's easy going

yeah but i cant stop the car or make any turns, which means pushing it backwatds accross a cross junction and then a traffic light controlled cross junction.... and i cant get the garage here because they are shut when i am at home, poor marea, wonder if the HG has blown?

What the hell has happened to it now? Have you went over the connections again?

i'm thinking somthing got a bit wet when i was fixing the other problem, as it was raining, been trying to find the crank sensor to see if thats it but it doesnt seem right seeing as the injector lights comming on and car wont run.

get another car to tow it.. the put it in 3rd and the steering and brakes will work.

when i got towed when my clutch cable went i was on one of those metal bars and only had to steer, braking was done by the van, looks like you will have to get the front lifted and towed.

or what about those A frames that you use on mobile homes to tow a car, they dont need a person in the car

Stick a trolley jack under the front to steer it while mates push

I bought a compression tester today for £20, maybe you should get one to test the head and cylinders.

Ryan.. have you checked the injectors if the injector light is coming on? wasnt that one of the fault you thought was wrong with the engine originaly?

yeah, they all mesure 0.013ohms and as do all my spares.
