Hi everyone
My uncle came over in August for a two week visit. As we drove from Stanstead to Peterborough he noticed these things on the sides of the roads.
"What are they?" he asked.
"Why, speed cameras" I replied, and then I went on to explain the philosophy behind them.
He pondered for a while, then he said, "what a tolerant civilised lot you are here in the UK, in Italy if the authorities put them up on this scale, they would be burned down, knocked down or vandalised"
What do you guys think of that conversation then?
He has a point, as we counted and passed nine cameras on the journey from Stanstead which is approximately fifty five miles!
