The body control is poor. The motoring press have always rated them as good, but they only test the sporty models. There was a write up not long ago, about the new model. Criticised for not fixing the ride and body control issues.

New car this morning had a door mirror that would not adjust. So I rejected it. Bit fundamental when needing to adjust it several times a day. Now fixed, coming back on Thursday. Whoopee! - Not.

Tried to use the Panda this evening, left rear brake sticking. A job for Friday afternoon then. Just needs some love. So not grumpy.
Had to use the Fiesta instead, slightly grumpy.

Not a surprise. One lining fallen off a shoe. Been reported a few times on these forums. Got some new shoes, all else looks fine in there. Quite a scary looking arrangement of clips and springs, might be a few choice words during the changeover. A job for Sunday.

Going by the fact it's disappeared from the government's vehicle tax check and failed its MOT spectacularly on the 1st, I can only assume that my parents old mk2 has finally been scrapped. A sad end to a great car.

Trying to... week one down, training for a 5k run in September

Cool plenty of time and 5k isn't bad at all as long as it isn't all up hill.

Don't hit it too hard to begin with, while beating times e.t.c. is all well and good you'll be walking like your wearing jeans 3 sizes too small the next day.

5k ain't bad though be over before you know it.

Yeah I don't have a great exercise tolerance but following the NHS app. Hopefully I will get a bit healthier as a result

This is receipty..my cars pet receipt..its been on my aircon radiator for about 3.5 months and is the only receipt I cannot lose.

Is taking the front bumper off an extreme measure?

It was a crisp fresh receipt for light bulbs from Morrisons, amazed how long it's lasted. I thought first bit of motorway in torrential rain it would disintegrate..nope. It just sits there in place I can't get to catching my eye every time I walk back to the car. Shame I can't train the spider in the wing mirror to go get it..

driving to work today.. 05:50 last bit of 30 limit until arriving at work,

saw a fella pushing a car into a side street..
noticed it was up hill .. so thought I'd pull over and help..
which I did:)

did the pushing.. car parked-up out of the way.. asked if it was electrically dead..or just the engine..??

to which the fella turned the key of the Citroen "PIgsASShO." and it ran for all of 3 seconds..,

the gauge says it's out of fuel.. - sounds about right..!!:chin:

it was at this point I noticed a self-tapper trim screw on the drivers seat..

then no shrouds on the steering column:eek:

then a battery and jump leads in the rear..

I think it's time for it to do one final roll over in the sty..

That time of year again..dash computer is telling me I've got one day or 4500 miles until the service is due..while I'd like to say "challange accepted" and cover those miles..to get them done before the service is due tomorrow I'd need to average over 1000mph.

Oh and it's going to be 390 quid, if it's got no problems which I don't think it does..damn 6 year service + mot.

Get a courtesy car to play with at least..

I nearly ran over an owl. But managed to miss it.
What a bizarre statement.
Rounding a corner, country road, dark, small creature stood at edge of road, staring intently at the grass verge. As I went around it, I realised it was a small brown owl.

Often seen them sat on fence posts, never stood in the road. Glad I missed it.

Good stuff..
We had a peregrine falcon having its lunch on our lawn last weekend...

You reminded me of Jasper Carrot..

'I had to swerve several times before I hit it..' :)

Got the traditional post service mail drop from the dealership.

"We want your car...come check out the 67 plate deals e.t.c."

Yes mate I've just spent the best part of 500 notes on a year 6 service and putting a years mot on so you can have something more saleable.

Every year...

Ah well better than Suzuki..got a letter off them one year offering 20% off my timing belt change..never did take them up on it given the car had a timing chain..what next 50% off a turbo change? Free ad blue?

A 'little owl'. Weird things they are. They come out in the day and stuff like that. Something about being small makes you eccentric it seems.
