i think its more to do with how you conduct yourselves we have befriended several camp owners in the past on lads camping trips..
£7 a night for tents at blue dolphin!
LOL till they see the size of it take it the awning is attached to yours?
haha it's down as a trailer tent, hardstanding pitch too with EHU. hoping to swap it for a non hardstanding so i can peg it down properly
oh and yeah it has an awning on the front but i don't always use it
Are you aware you can get hard ground pegs.

That's a ****ing house.
Me and my friend were extremely stupid. We climbed up a mountain near loch lomond (this is just a random one, with no paths no nothing).
Got up there, set the tent. Seriously night time comes the wind were so strong, we felt like we were going to get blown away. But the view were just amazing. Unbeatable!. Oh and this was a 15 quid tent from Tesco .

I have a Maestro camper van, converted on the Isle of Wight by Tandy, then extensively customised when I got it. It sleeps 2 if you haven't argued - you fold down the table in the middle, fold over 2 leaves of the side seat and add cushions. I don't do much, if any, proper camping. I usually camp at car shows or race meetings. Because the van's pretty small, I had a Caranex awning, but replaced it with a better Aztec Auto Haven which fits onto the back of the van giving an additional 2 berth inner tent and space for storage.
My van's off the road at the moment. I took the furniture out to replace the old peeling fibreboard with some shiny new stuff, and get the interior reupholstered, but when the side windows were taken out they cracked, making them now not waterproof, so until I can afford some new ones I can't get the new furniture in and go back out camping
Van + Aztec the first time we set it up in the front garden:
well i've sold the trailer tent, at 20 years old i rekon i'm too old for camping and i'm buying a tourer van
Alex, if you're taking that unruly hound with you, remember two things: a short lead and plenty of plastic bags!
you have now aged 20 years
I've just realised that the must-have accessory for a caravanner is a nodding dog on the rear parcel shelf. However, can I just point out that flying from the rear parcel shelf after a collision is not very good for a small dog, so don't be temptedHe's been as good as gold for months now, anyone who's had a jack russel or knows about them though will know if they want to escape, they will, they just dig.
like i say he hasn't for months, we all trust him to potter around the front garden and stuff, last time i was in the trailer tent he just lay in front the tent quite happily the bags are still a must unless someone's worked out a way to stop dogs sh!tting lol
i know.. i know, i just like the idea of a caravan, trailer tent will be missed though.

that's his favorite place to sit lol
managed to sort a towbar out on my dad's car so i'm on the look out for a tourer now
Take your damp meter.
Just about 5 weeks till Goodwood, need to sort out a caravan, which is slightly easier for me.

yeahh i've been well warned about damp but don't really have a good idea how to spot it tbh, or what features to even look for on a van lol, i know i want a toilet!
