so he gets taken back to the walk-in centre today an older nurse says he has an ear infection and tonsillitis and gives him antibiotics, poor little boy could be fixed by now if hospital had give him that on Thursday :(

http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Sore-throat/Pages/Treatment.aspx

Antibiotics or not he'd have still gotten better it's just you'll now thinks it's the antibiotics that fixed everything and insist upon them in future, little one then gets more and more unnecessary doses of drugs that don't do home any good, kill off his gut flora and lead to other complications like diarrhoea increased susceptibility to C-Diff/Noro and antibiotic resistance.

By all accounts it seems he was treated properly and In accordance with guidelines

People aren't cars you can't compare a mechanic to a surgeon, what may fix one person will easily kill another

Oh I dunno...I once googled my symptoms and deduced that I had about a week to live :(

Rather than trust that Quack of a Doctor of mine - I googled homeopathic remedies...and do you know what?

It worked!! Within 2 days I felt better - and all I had to do was face West, urinate on my left foot, hop 3 times and smear my chest strawberry jam whilst wearing a bikini and a hard hat!!

A-maz-ING!!

Incorrect cable usage!
8mm for a shower wrong. Too much current draw for cable size.

Correct way
10mm and soldered the ends.
Like Guy Martin says,
"if it ain't done right . . . It's wrong, simple as"

Depends on the shower and cable run length also soldering the ends can lead to the cable becoming brittle, We use a Boot lace crimping tool at work for stranded cables

then factor in derating issues such as going through insulation

Looking at that the picture it looks to me that the terminals have come loose and got hot.... terminals often come loose through regular use due to thermal action and hot cold contraction of the different metals in the screw and terminal block...

(seen it happen with big 3 phase switch gear and it can be rather impressive  )

wish we had google when i was 14 then i would have known you dont treat septic arthritis by wrapping the joint in tight bandages giving the patient aspirin and sending them home, instead antibiotics should have been given then it wouldn't have spread to and destroyed nearly every joint in my body

Ankle has been causing me pain for about a month, finally got so bad today that I nearly passed out at work so they sent me to A&E, turns out I've fractured it! The doctors weren't impressed when I told them about the 35 miles I rode through Dalby forest :(

feckers in waitrose who kept chatting an shopping during the 2 minutes silence made me grumpy, they hadn't just walked in an forgot about the time either they was in the store for as long as i was and there were announcements every couple of minutes before reminding people it was going to happen :(

How did you find worry gill? :D :woot:

and are the north shore bits still deadly slippy?

Worry Gill is a part of Dalby Forest, "north shore" is a style of riding which involves wooden tracks

Get it now! We drove right to the top next to dixons hollow? they've moved the wooden track from last time we were there, it runs down the other side of the track now, I didn't try it (I can't even balance when walking) but the OH did :)
