I've just about reached the end of my tolerance. I know they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger but FFS I'd be happy for someone else to be strong for a while.

Been without power for five-and-a-half hours: due to a tree bringing down the lines to half the village. Was told at 23:00 that it would be fixed by midnight.... :bang:
Luckily, our neighbours across the road haven't been affected: so I've managed to piggyback on their WiFi. Also have a large stock of candles, and a portable gas heater; and, with the aid of a head-torch, have just read a 300-page novel in one sitting....
Sounds like the apocalypse is taking place outside, though....

Soooo, all that money and effort spent on the garden last summer was well worth it.. I just hope its appreciated by whoever the wind has given it to.....:bang:

I brought ours indoors to the garage before Christmas.
On another weather related note, what is it with bus drivers?....we hit a 97% delivery rate last week using 26 tonne rigids and 44 tonne artics around Devon/Cornwall/Somerset/Dorset and yet the entire local bus service is stopped dead by a few twigs and a puddle meaning my daughter had to be rescued from from work at 10.30pm last night...bloody useless..
mine are all litter trained house rabbits, i blocked their cat flap last night so they couldn't go out.

Came back on about 08:30 -- after saying on the website that it would be 16:00....
Sad thing is: the power cut -- which was intermittent, at the beginning, before totally giving up -- seems to have destroyed my old Vodafone SureSignal: so I now have no mobile reception; and it's £100 to replace....
