What's made you grumpy today?

Not just grumpy, devastating.

I'm very sorry to hear this, very best wishes. So much bad news about here at the moment.

Grandad hit a kerb in Doncaster yesterday, bust tyre, think the rim is okay. Ordered a tyre for it and will get it fitted in a few days.

I REALLY want him to stop driving but I just know he won't.

It's difficult. Might be worth asking him how he'd feel if it was a pedestrian etc? Harsh but it gets them thinking.

I always said to my grandad that you're better off going out on a high under your own choice without an accident rather than being forced to as you're hurt or maimed someone.

He won't listen to anything anyone tells him, I've ordered the tyre for him as he was going to buy the cheapest thing he could to put on. I said NO!

Unless it's his idea then it won't happen unfortunately. :(

My (extremely educated and experienced) guess is that it's probably where the nerves emerge from your neck. Something like a nerve root block of some sort may help... -- either temporarily or permanently. If you've got a pain clinic near you, they should be able to help....

I also find codeine pretty good, but it doesn't last long. The gel won't touch it, though, because it's probably several centimetres below the skin, and pretty inaccessible....

I'm being referred to a neurologist now

If I did have anything grumpy to say when I arrived it paled into insignificance when I read about quite a few other peoples troubles posted here. There has been some pretty tragic stuff mentioned in the last few months. So I leave the grumpy thread with nothing grumpy to say, just my best wishes to those who are understandably grumpy. That doesn't include your cookie voucher Dave... however I hope they can sort your pain out.

There's a bloody storm raging outside, and I'm surrounded by sick old trees in a protected wood that the council won't touch, and a few years a go a branch fell and crushed two cars

I hate windy days more than foggy ones.
