Surely if you tell them the cost of the wheels they will either offer you more money or fix your car?

After all they have to return to you, your car in the condition before the crash or enough settlement to get you an another car with same spec etc. meaning enough to get those wheel again(y) - don't accept anything less than this, play it cool:cool: - you have rights! :)

only if the insurance is like for like on mods otherwise its just the current value of a mk2 sporting unless theres gap insurance

Abusive customers, very nearly pressed the panic button for the first time!

Messing around with the pumps, pretending it was a gun while filling up on Pay @ Pump, so told them to stop messing about. Then got a load of abuse of them, so kindly told them to sod off and that I wouldn't be starting the pump again. Person filling up was pissed, couldn't stand up, he wasn't driving though.

Next thing I know, three of them are at the kiosk window, shouting at me saying I have to give them fuel, I can't not serve them, I need to give them my name. Tell them to go away, they aren't getting any fuel as they where abusive.

Tried to get hold of security, but couldn't get though, they thought we where phoning the Police so left .

Bit that worries me is the person whos car it is comes in a fair bit, luckily he stayed in the car, and he seems a OK person, if a bit of a chav...so hopefully he won't say anything! If not...could be interesting!

Heart was really beating after! Wasn't until after that I noticed I hadn't locked the kiosk door, and if they tried it they could have got in .

If it helps i'll share exp with garage forcourts:p
Start of this year, or end of last when it had snowed i had been driving for around 1-2hours on black ice and snow. At this point i was used to driving on the ice, steering so light you could turn to full lock by dropping a pea on the steering wheel:p

Anyways, i'd been driving on fumes so deciced to pop to local garage to fill up. they were still open, no one there though, so i had the choice of all 8 pumps. I decide to go for the normal pump "3".

However, the garage forecourt had been fully de-iced:doh: I of course had been used to driving on the ice:chin:

Regardless i drove in off the icy road towards to pumps, went to turn to pull along side the pump... but noticed i wasn't turning:eek: i was now heading into the pump, so slam on the brakes and miss it by inchs:eek:

I then had to reverse and try again:p the amount of force needed to turn the car seemed intense! it was like trying to push a house over! (compared to driving on the ice)

Anyway, filled up £10:p - not a big spender

Went in, all seemed normal, person at the till asked how we he could help - like he didn't see anything, but as i was paying there was a guy on the floor laughing so hard he was out of breathe :ROFLMAO:

He got up and said "we didn't see anything"

:ROFLMAO: - a highlight to my day:p - i couldn't help but see the funny side of it all.
I often go to this garage 2-3 times a week when i didn't have enough to fill the car up(y)

I'd still check it. If they wrote a contract which stated that if they found any dust in the flat then they could execute all of you then that's hardly legal. Just because it's there on a contract does NOT make it legal :)

Went to take blood, had two tests. I failed the tests because my Iron intake was 1mg (I think) below the minimum ( minimum being 135... I got 134) I told her to still take the pint out of me... she refused... apparantly If it's below theres a possibility of me feeling ill. I was still adamant that I wanted it taking out and she refused me again. :( Pissed off is an understatement, I took the afternoon off work to give blood, because I wanted to give a little to society... Lost about £30 of money that I could have earned at work and now feel like a complete idiot.

To add to that, My Punto is a piece of crap!

Some scary crap:eek: did the right thing though(y)

If he comes in just be polite, personally I'd mention it in a banterish kinda way, something like "sorry bout that the other night but your mates were being idiots and I don't wanna be blown up"......

I decided to give blood a while ago, phoned up and asked if I would be able to as I had a kidney op when I was younger. Popped down to my Doctors to ask if I was in the clear, they said yep, all OK to donate.

Went down to give blood, wasn't the local one, good 30 minutes away, only to be told they need to write a letter to my doctor to ask if its OK for me to donate.

Finally got a letter saying I could, went down with an appointment, was waiting over a hour and a half to give blood.

Keep getting phone calls asking if I can donate again, and if they can make a appointment for me, the only appointments they do are when I'm at work, so tell them I can't make it, so they say they'll make me an appointment incase I can make it, and if I cant to cancel it nearer the time.

Snow :bang:

Keep starting really lengthy replies to threads, and then giving up before I post because - even though I know I'm right - I also know it'll end up turning into an argument

There's owt wrong with healthy debate TBH, as long as people remember it's just that; a debate. Personally, I have time to debate but no time to argue.

In Ireland, most councils always find some way to duck out of paying up. It runs in the government (n) Ill do what I can but Im not holding my breath. But Im not going to forget this though...

If you have no luck there can you not use small claims court?

In the UK it costs £50 to submit a claim but you will get refunded from the third party ontop of your payout if you win.
