only just back poor baby arse doctor should have came out an seen him

Sorry, but there simply aren't enough doctors to make house calls to everyone who would like one. Outpatients is full of crying babies right now, and doctors too are beginning to get this flu. Fortunately it is no worse than a bit of a bad cold with added fever at present - people aren't even taking to their beds - so if you or yours have it now be grateful as it may (only may) act as a protection if and when the disease mutates into something serious.

I'm no doctor... but... infants and old people are slightly more susceptable to secondary infection and thats where the danger lies. Angels baby is really not very well at the moment, a bit of diplomacy and tact would be nice as a poorly baby is not easy to look after, you cant explain whats wrong and that you're trying to help :(

I was really ill last year and the doctor wouldnt come out to me when I lived on my own and was unable to drive. I ended up calling NHS direct who sent an ambulance for me and as it happened i was quite seriously ill. When I went for a check up later the doctor I saw was shocked the doctor on call wouldn't come out.

bored, no job, no money....
i hate living in this area there are no jobs around whatsoever! job i was supposed to be starting today said that i couldnt start today due to the weather so hopefully weather depending monday should be better.

We are very fortunate in this country that we have any doctors to make house calls. Most places don't.

Children pick up all sorts of infections because they have little immunity, but unpleasant as it seems it is still more practical to bring the sick child to the doctor than the other way around.

My own mother lost twin sisters in the 1918 epidemic, but that was before antibiotics and the whole gamut of modern medicines. Children respond very well to modern drugs and I'm sure Angel's will too.

I am not unsympathetic, just pragmatic, and I am well aware how difficult it can be dealing with sick children.

got to go food shopping soon. I hate food shopping with a passion.

We are staying at a friends house looking after two dogs and chickens. One of the dogs has a dodgy tummy and when i got back after being out for a couple of hours, he had crapped on the kitchen floor. Runny dog poo is not nice to clean up :yuck:

In Australia, we have about 5000 confirmed cases of swine flu, but they arent testing for it anymore. We are being told that if you have flu symptoms, unless you fall into the categories of young children, elderly, or pregnant,(which are the 'high risk') to stay away from the doctors and just have a couple of sick days at home, as its no more serious than the 'normal' flu. If you are in those groups, then its onto a course of Tamiflu.

I think that the reason why swine flu has been 'beaten up' in the media is that 'they' thought that it would be as bad as bird flu the year before, which was really quite deadly to humans.
