I'm almost 19.

Unfortunatly I havent being given the chance of anything like that, and I'm already far too down my career path to switch to desiging

Don't be so f**king stupid! It's never too late to change career.

If it's what you want to do, dump your current career and go to uni...Study "Transport Design".

Unfortunately there's a very limited choice of uni's that do it - Coventry, Huddersfield and Newcastle. Newcastle is s**te and the Coventry course is going down hill, so apply to Huddersfield for entry in 2005.
Do well there (I'm talking really well!) and apply to the RCA in London.

Job's a good'un.

My mate did all this and landed a job contract designing for Ford. He designed a lot of the IP for the new Focus. In 9 months he took home (after tax) £57000...Sweet, I think you'll agree. He's 24.

In two week's time he starts his new permanent job designing for a design house in Austria, smack in the middle of the Alps! I dread to think how much he's going to earn, but needless to say it'll be a damn sight more than me!
