will i need a code to reset the sterio once ive taken battery out to charge?

i cant find it anywhere in any of my documents is there somewhere i can look it up or someone i should contact?

Hi, I dont know for sure.. but I imagine if you provide a dealer with the chassis number, and possibly proof of ownership they can provide the code. All that kinda information is stored somewhere within Fiat.

Like the other day, I was speaking to a master tech about the body computer and he said if you order one from italy it comes already coded and configured to the car so you plug it in and the keys and everything should all work automatically... so fiat must have the details on the key coding to be able to do that from italy. Same with the fusebox under the bonnet, he reckons it arrives with all the correct fuses and relays for that particular car already installed.

Post the make/model of the stereo and someone here will be able to help. You may have to remove the unit to get the serial number from it - the code can usually be calculated from that.

Nobody has ever said that a donation is required (y). It has just been suggested by a couple of people who generate them, that it would be a nice gesture to give the forum a small, affordable donation if the code solves your problems.

Anyway it looks like nobody is giving them out right now. I will check to see if the software works on my mac. Although i dont particularly like the thought of just giving out codes.

Forum donation is a good idea tbh, as we get far too many people who come on, get their code then p*ss off back into the ether without so much as a thanks. Only has to be a couple of quid. Just a thank you gesture.

But as has been said already. Post the make/model and serial up and i'll see if I have the generator for your radio.

it should be printed on the back of the stereo if its original,
