Grande Punto Bonnet Lifters

These are the tools that you will need:
Allen key to undo bonnet bolt
Selection of spanners
Socket and rachet set
Hacksaw
Vice
Hammer
Drill
Metal Drill bits
Fiat Boot struts (the outer casing is 19cm long)

First off you will need thin strip of metal i used 4mm thickness. Cut piece 8cm long and bend in half to a L shape and drill holes big enough to fit gas strut nipple and star bolt that holds light in place.

Next you will need to create the Z bracket for the bonnet. Cut to roughly 12cm. MUST FOLLOW LINES OF BONNET WHEN BENDING (you will see what i mean later on in guide)

Now you will need to undo the top bonnet bolt and attach Z bracket (see first picture). Once thats done tighten back up. Next need to remove the star bolt that is near the light. do the same for this (see second picture). Now both brackets are in place you can bolt on the gas strut nipples (see third picture). then just need to pop on the gas struts (see final picture)
