Styling Side Rubbing Strips

Put them on tonight in the garage with a callor heater and a "few" 2 kw blow heaters to dry / warm the car

washed the car first then dried, next gave the area a good rub with T-cut Metalic, warmed the doors buffed it off then warmed the car again (kept the strips warm in the house till the last minute, I stuck them keeping the bottom edge of the strips to the crease line on the doors Those sticky pad strips are strong glad i didnt mis align them as that could have caused a few tears..

will get some photos when the fog lifts

Can someone tell me where I can get a pair of these side strips?

the strips do look nice on the red but do u think there will be issues later in life with peeling etc. the only reason i say this is that the rubber around the little window (behing the wing mirror) has started to curl. would u like a pic??

Mine's New Orleans Blue so I think it'll look good with tinted windows.. don't know about after-effects though - people with them should be able to shed some light..

Yeh post a pic :)

From your local fiat garage (thats if you want the proper fiat ones), the side rubbing strips are an option. They don't cost much. They should fit them for you aswell.

its not to bad now. but it will get worse

From what i remember i think i was one of the first to have the rubbing strips on and it was an accident, i didnt order them but they put them on. I must be honest i wasnt sure at first but now i really like them. Not only do they make it look a bit different to most of the GPs out there but imo it also makes the car look lower.

As for them coming away, mine are still as good as they were when i picked it up although my car is only 6 months old so there is still plenty of time unfortunately.
