Not many companies have the GP on their system yet.
Where have you guys found decent insurance quoted for the GP? I'm having a tough time finding one.

Thanks.

I managed to get a good quote from directline.com. Im 24 and never had my own policy before. I have however been a named driver on my dad's direct line policy and built up 5+ years of named driver no claims discount.

Anyway I managed to get the insurance for me and girlfriend for £205 on a Grande 1.4 Active sport. Seemed a great deal to me!

£205 or £2050?!

Thanks guys.
It seems to be taking a while to get the car onto the insurance sytems.

Any more options from GP owners?

I have 4 years NCB with DirectLine now, but when i had 2 i had an accident. I was told i had to notify my insurance company even if i didnt make a claim so i phoned them and told them.

I didnt claim as i sold my car and paid for the others damage myself and i told them this when i rang them.

Yet when my renewal came my premium had doubled as they had erased my 2 years NCB.

When i rang them they said i had had an accident and made a claim but i told them i hadnt so they added my NCB again  (y)

One more year and ill have all 5 NCB

Del, I would suggest that you pose a higher moral hazard to the insurance company you use than the danprice. This may be down to a number of reasons, including your age, driving experience, previous accidents, convictions etc.

The rate you pay will also be affected by your location, where the car is parked and what extras you have.

Also, different insurers will cover the same risk at wildly differing prices, which is why it always pays to shop around.

The UK Insurance Partnership prices (Direct Line, Tescos etc) tend to be the most reasonable although you can sometimes get a better deal.
