I’ve had the same issue it seems like a lot of GP owners have, my air directional console broke.

Last weekend I replaced the whole thing, but the stupid thing still isn’t working! Now all the dials turn as they should, but the air is only coming out at the feet (quite an issue in Cumbria…)

Before I give up and take it to the garage does anyone have any other suggestions? I’m getting amazingly warm air at my feet but can’t demist my windscreen. Is there something else we can try?

Is it actually moving the flaps?

Assuming not, as nothing is moving. Resistor went today as well, ordered new one. I love this car, but damn this heater!

If you have 'twisty knobs'.. rather than pressbuttons

Then its often a problem with the cables that the knob to flap connection is made with

Obviously you COULD just set it HOT at the Windscreen until the spring

Its possible your resistor failure hasnt been aided by your airflow issues

Ah thanks! Found the one for replacing resistor too. If I could get it just onto the window I’d be more than happy!

Its just a flap with a gear on one end driving it

Always the chance a parking ticket.. or similar.. is sat in there causing chaos
