Hi guys,

I have a Grande Punto 2009 1.4 8v 77bhp and im planning on putting a cam but i dont know whats compatible and what im looking for, so far i have added some mods which are exhaust, decat header, lowering springs and a cold air intake and tires which has improved the performance. Any ideas or recommendations?

In some respects with only 77hp to start with you can go down a rabbit hole of expensive mods and spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds on mods but still have been better off to just buy a more powerful car, ie a £500 1.8 Ford Focus would have a lot more power and probably cost less to insure especially if you’re having to declare all the mods with your insurance company.

The general rule of thumb with these little fiat engines is enjoy them for what they are, have fun with some “spirited” driving and attacking some country roads but if what you want is power, you’re far better off buying something else.
