.bad connection..

Unscrew the light unit.. pull forward a little.. at the back is the wiring plug.

Unclip it.. look at the connections.. could well be 'furry'

Hi,
This is likely to be bad earth connection, either in the light cluster, connector aor the connection to the chassis. The chassis connection i likey to be in the boot or under the rear seat.

Just out of interest, roughly how much do you think it would cost to have these connectors replaced? It is costly?

You'd have to buy (an install !!) a partial harness !! Alternatively you'll find the crimp connectors and even the shells on the net for a couple € ... Almost everything can be found, just ask our friend Ali ;-)

Personally if I was thinking of replacing the connectors I go to the breaker and find a good one,ie clean and not 'furred up' as said. Cut it off the loom.leaving plenty of loom attached and then cut the original off and either solder and heatshrink or crimp on in line connectors..BUT thats me ..

Nowadays one can easily find and buy for very few €/£/$ all the material to disassemble those connectors and replace what is necessary.
Why bother replacing the whole thing when maybe only one pin is corroded/dammaged ?
BUT thats me too ...
