Lost my locking wheel nut

Anyone know what this is ?

Posted on reddit and their saying 8 spline drive but I google it and get nothing !

Firstly I'd check with Fiat to see if it's one that can be ordered (or even kept in stock).

If not, you may be able to get a 'Gatorgrip' onto it.

Alternatively, find a socket just marginally bigger and hammer it on! With that amount of rust, you should be able to do it.

Yes, it has 8 splines, but they're not evenly spaced so a "standard" 8-spline drive tool would be useless anyway, if such a thing existed.

As above, Fiat may be able to order the correct key based on your reg/VIN number (assuming these are the bolts that came with the car), or get some replacements and use "brute force and ignorance" to get these out.

That’s not a fiat locking wheel nut, so I doubt the fiat dealer would be much help. It’s some sort of after market set.

Search the boot for a locking wheel nut key, if you can’t find one you’ll either have to pay someone like quick fit to remove it or buy a set of “bolt removal” sockets, and do it yourself, can find them on amazon for as little as £18 and then you’ve got them forever, just search for locking wheel nut removal tool on amazon, the results will actually be but removal tools which will also remove rounded off nuts and bolts as well as wheel nuts.

Exotic solution:

- register yourself to a DIY cast enthusiasts forum
- find a fellow who's in your vicinity
- challenge him with that "game"

That looks like a plastic wheel trim! Take better pictures of the other locking bolts! If no joy,and those are wheel trims,break the plastic around lock nut,remove other wheel bolts on that wheel,pull wheel cover off and get mole grips on the bolt and remove it.

The AA, and probably other breakdown organisations, carry tools for removing locking wheel nuts without the key.
