My orange sporting

Hi all just thought id start a thread about my orange 1.4 sporting. Iv had it about a week and a half and the longer i own it the more i love it, often finding myself staring at it.
So here it is

I have allready put wind deflectors on.
Here is a my car with my old alloys on which are 17" but they smaller.

Undecided yet as wether i like them, deffinatly like the black so may get the originals done in gloss black.
I have a few other small plans for the car so far, so stay tuned. And i appreciate any comments or feedback.
If this works as i cant remember how to add images

Re: My orange sporting

You like the black alloys? I prefer the ones that came with it IMO looks a tidier with them.
I remember when I first got mine too, stood there staring at it with a cup of tea and a smoke.

Regards,
Johnathon.

Re: My orange sporting

Yeah i prefer black alloys on most cars actually. I think its because there's no other silver on the car so the black matches the plastic. Thats my logic any way.

Re: My orange sporting

I reckon if you tint the windows and lower the car a bit the black alloys would look mean.

Everyone has speed bumps their way mate, just go slower over them, lowering a gp is the best mod you can do I'd say, the standard arch gap is mahoosive

Re: My orange sporting

Yeah, this is true however i have to go over about 18 lots of speed bumps in the space of half a mile and there is no other way to my house. Lowering my old car was the best thing i did and the arch gap is massive on the punto. I'll just have to wait and see what happens. In the mean time trying to update the blue and me software is driving me mad. I just want to be able to play my own music.

Thanks mate, it's getting there. Cosmetically it just needs coilovers and a few stonechips to tidy up and it's finished I reckon.

Re: My orange sporting

So it's been a while since i was last posted on here.
I got my original alloys painted black, puma black to be precise. Its a glittery gloss black. And they really gleam on a sunny day and when their clean.

Close up

Also got my badgeless grill fitted and my black mirrors on order

Re: My orange sporting

In my last post i said i ordered black wing mirror covers, i did they were just no either a cheap copy and didnt fit properly or not for my car, so thats on hold now.
I have finally got around to doing the vinyl on the door pillars.
So this was before,

During,

Great tan lines.
And after,

As you can see 1st attempt wasnt great. The other side worked out fine and I'm really happy with it. I ran out of vinyl to redo the 1st side, so looks like a job for next weekend now. Although i have seen this done in a carbon fibre wrap and considering ive got to do it again im tempted with that.

Tell me,which Head unit is that??
It looks perfect in there
Did it work straight away with the cambus?
does it still allow you to use steering week controls?
Is it Bluetooth enabled?
and how much was it?

Re: My orange sporting

I did the vinyl on my door pillars too
I used the carbon foil and looks great on my red sporting, even though on this side I stretched the foil a little at the bottom by the rubber. Other side worked out perfect Click image for larger version
