sorry if this have been covered, I'm looking to buy a t-jet and want to know the gains of a remap. 160bhp+ would be nice :D
modifications would be
de-cat straight throw.
Pannel air filter, don't want a cone they look silly.
bigger intercooler hidden at the front.
Phill.

Thousands of threads already exist covering this in great detail. In summary the tiny vl37 turbo on the t-jet will limit power gains significantly so a vl36 or vl38 from other models will be required. Forge do the intercooler you need and 180 bhp is possible. 4th gear or the diff may give trouble if you drive it hard with that sort of power.

VL36, BMC Panel filter & Forge Intercooler will see you around 160bhp.

If you wanna go further you'll need de-cat, 2.25 - 2.5" rest of exhaust, forge actuator to hold on to the boost a bit longer.

Why is everyone mentioning diff problems now? What have I missed?

There have been a few people with tuned/lowered t-jets who have suffered diff failures.
