my 1.2 grande puntos clutch is making a whining sound when i put it into 1st or reverse gear and its louder when i put on a little revs but once ive got it into second or above its fine.

Should i be worried? and how can i stop it?

just over 26,000m its an 06 plate

could be release bearing, how many miles have you done? what year/reg is your car?

its done just over 26,000m n its on 06 plat.

My 1.2 does this sometime when i put it into reverse, but its more user error, if i take it out, and put it back into gear with harder force, it doesn't whine/grind. never had it happen in 1st gear though.

i know what you mean but its not really a crunching sound.
