I'm a Spanish boy and I have a grande punto 1.9mjtd remaped to 160 cv and 350Nm. I see many 1.9 mjtd in this forum with 185 bhp or more. I'd like know it to arrive 190 bhp. I want install a garret gt1749Mv from bravo's 1.9 mjtd 150 cv 16v and FMIC forge+ dwonpipe, this is posible? or the turbo oem from grande punto resist a hard mapping? My chiptuner Vagspeed says the oem turbo not suport a hard maping. What do you think?

I just had a re-map, not particularly a "hard" re-map.
Done by Red Dot, oddly enough by a guy who did a lot of developement work for VAG!

That was at 32,000 miles, now have a recorded 61,000 miles with no problems.

Same here, im on 25000 miles after map now. OEM turbo still going well

All standard except for the re-map, £200 UK. Very happy!

Mine is also standard apart from the Red Dot remap

2.0 16vt conversion, and then you're nowhere near the limits of performance! 190 is about the minimum you can get lol.

Conversion to 2.0 16vt? What is this? Sorry I don't understand you.

He means convert the engine to the 2.0 litre 16v Turbo from the Fiat Coupe. I dont think he was being serious lol

Its fine, no problems at all with the clutch or gearbox

i'm pretty sure it'll fit, you'll have viscodrive bit as standard if you use the coupe box, more power and torque as standard than a standard 1.9 16v mjet as well. it probably is the best route to go down if you want a seriously quick GP. :devil: but probably not what the OP has in mind.
