GRANDE PUNTO: Fiat Dealer recommendations
Hi there all Punto users

Can anyone recommend a GOOD FIAT dealer?

I would like to know if anyone knows of a sympathetic Fiat Dealer who would undertake some FREE exploratory work on my knocking sound coming from the steering. I just want a second opinion.

FIAT customer services have given me no joy over the last 2 years!!

Why would a dealer do something for free? They are a business.

Well, just to surprise you (rather than gloat) I managed to find one anyway.

I took my GP in about 4 weeks ago where a mechanic had a quick road test with me. Noise was noted, and he suggested a few things that it could be and they agreed that I could leave it with them for a few hours when they'd try and confirm the diagnostic. They identified the problem (FOC) which turned out to be worn brass bush on the end of the Front NS ant-roll bar strut. It doesn't come as a separate component so the whole arm would need replacing.

Long story (slightly) shortened, they kept on trying to ring Fiat for authorisation and they succeeded!

Had a phone call from the dealer today and am booked in next week!

Patience rewarded. Ah!!!

I can't imagine an anti roll bar link being authorised on 3rd year!
