GP 1.2/8v Brake Pads
I’m aware some folks have replaced their OE brake pads (FIAT 9949273?) with the FIAT 77364393 – but I intended trying the Mintex MDB2239 or APEC PAD1274.

Reviewing the options I’ve come across the APEC PAD 1549 that is supplied pre-chamfered (just saves you otherwise flat-filing the edges as an anti-squeal measure) – anybody on these, & with what result?

(Strangely - the APEC PAD 1550 for other GP models doesn’t appear to be chamfered?)

You've also got the might of EBC to try and GSR's Pads & Discs.

Loving my EBC Greenstuff on the Mjet. Good bite, lasts the whole way through braking.

I'm flying `economy class' & not looking for any show-pony stuff - just standard equipment will do fine.

EBC have some very competitivley priced normal pads too if your interested. They claim to be better than OE

`phoned a local motor factors this p.m. to check-out pad prices.

They quoted £32 for the APEC PAD1549 (GP) & £25 for the APEC PAD1274 (Stilo) - so at this point it looks like I'll go with the PAD1274, & flat file the edges off myself.
