Technical k&n induction kit and panel filter for grande

You won't even get a noise difference out of a panel filter as it sits in the same air box. Unless you go the saxo route and drill big f*ck off holes in the box!

Carl, Why are you asking again when you got your answer less than 24 hours ago (see (G) Will It Fit??
GrandePuntoMark )???????

Panel filters will be a bit better than standard but nothing major.

KnN "induction kit" isnt cheap. You are paying £70 odd for a filter and a bit of tube that you can bend. You sit the the filter directly on the throttle body which then sucks in lots of hot air meaning the engine looses a bit of performance as they thrive off cold air.

Its an 8v. You make it sound like its quick you just look like a prick. You put a GSR on it and make it sound quick and also a bit faster then that is fair enough.

I just answered this question in a post that you have surely read less than 8 hrs ago why start another post and not just ask for information in the same post eesh:bang:

Anyways in case it helps anyone else...

Panel filter will give you a small improvement in power and by small I mean very small probably 1Bhp if your lucky, benefit is you don't have to change them, you can clean them saving you money and you get a very slight change in exhaust note if your into that sort of thing.

K & N filter i.e cone on top the TB is worse than useless. Youe engine sounds chavvy & will perform worse due to lack of direct airflow and your throttle body drinking hot air with little oxygen from the top of the engine bay. Also there is a chance that you get the grease from the cone onto your MAF as it's so close and then you are well and truly buggered.

GSR filter will give you 4-5 Bhp increase and a 5-7 Nm increase in low end torque. It is more expensive but it is engineered specifically for your engine. The hose will give a proper flow of cold oxygen rich air into the tb with lower resistance and better flow characteristics. The cone is well away from the MAF so you sensor will stay intact. The bracketry to hold it in place is ridiculosly well engineered and it looks sexy. Your exhaust note will change a bit, although modding purely for sound is something that has always baffled me.

The aim with any induction system is to lower the resistance of the path the air has to take between the outside world and the cylinder whilst keeping it cool and oxygen rich with an appropraiate flow rate and turbulence for the engine.

If you really want some induction roar buy these::devil:

KnN are good filters its just the positioning of there "induction kits" is crap. If they were routed properly ala gsr style then they would be just as good.
