Please do not argue about different brands of bulbs in this thread - This is to help other members make a decision and see the difference for themselves.

I ordered some Philips Blue Vision on Tuesday due to the standard bulbs being very poor. I ordered them from Powerbulbs at a cost of £19.45 They were delivered the day after with no troubles - very impressive as customer satisfaction seems to of deserted most companies these days.

I received the bulbs this morning and got straight to fitting them :).

First thing I noticed is that you need to be between the ages of 3 and 5 to be able to get the bulbs out of the holder.

After messing about for what seemed about an hour (pure exaggeration) - was actually about 15 mins I manged to get them all fitted.

The results are pretty good although the images are taken in daylight you can clearly see the difference.

As you can see from the pictures the light from the bulbs is definitely a lot whiter.

I hope somebody finds this useful.

Hi. Ive got the blue vision sidelights and they are much better. Nice white light not yellowy like the oem ones. Can you post some night time pics, i'm interested in seeing how much brighter the headlights are, cheers (y)

Ye, i have them too, really good improvement i found; and now handy at this time of year as im driving in the dark most days now.

Just fitting them was awkward and extremely frustrating.

Yeah I have got some of these, soo much easier driving at night :)

I can honestly say I have never had so much trouble fitting headlights *EVER*. The sidelights were a easy.

There is enough room for one hand on the drivers side of a 1.9MJET which is annoying as you need two or if you have kids - get them to do it (2 reasons for this: 1. Thier hands are small and can get behind the headlight. 2. If they break it you've got somebody to shout at.).

I will try and post some night pictures up later on tonight.

There is a definite improvement though.

waiting for the first "HIDS FOR THE WIN YEAH!!!!!!" post.

everytime i try and find out what peoples opinions are on different types of bulbs (even thou i stress not to mention them) people (not naming names) come on and go "YEAH YEAH HIDS MAN HIDS!! YEAH!!!!" "What you want is some HIDS man YEAH"

NO, i DONT want HIDs, they are A:illegal B:expensive C:make no real difference.

the only reason people would get them is so that oncoming cars think they are aproaching a more expensive car than they are. lol. im not that kind of person.
