ya got 6 screws in da air box init

(translation)

if you take a look at the front of the air box you will see 6 fixing screws they have a 7 mm head iirc 3 along the top edge and 3 along the bottom this pulls the air box closed it looks like yours are missing therefore its leaking air i just hope for your sake the filter has still managed to filter all the crap out or it could get very expensive

:ROFLMAO:

The 6 screws at the front only hold the front section where the filter is. They are only about 2 inches long so dont hold the whole housing together. I think it is glued/bonded in some way. Maybe you can seal it somehow with mastic or similar, could be worth a try rather than forking out for a new airbox. Good luck with it anyway (y)

Andy. His screws are there, the pic is upside down

Thank's Marty for you're relpy you're the only one that gave me good adive.
And to the one who say's "Speak properly" Don't you mean type standard English? And If you're saying that then don't use slang word's for example "FFS", Slang not English.
Oh and it has been taped up I'm not stupid, and the reason I don't have warrety is I mised it and I was away on holiday, so the warrenty would still be void.
Marty any idea what I could use to bond it together glue wise? Thanks.

Don't worry about it m8 my son has the same problem

Now to fix the airbox. The main problem is getting the thing to stay together so i suggest large cable ties wrapped round it from front to rear and pulled tight. First thing to do is remove it and give it a good clean especially where the split is. Now remove the 6 screws and fit a new air filter then replace the screws. Get the cable ties ready (you may have to join a few together to go all the way round. Now seal the split with mastic/silicone or similar, needs to be heat resistant. Fit the cable ties round the airbox and when you are sure they wont interfere with any mounting points or pipes etc pull them tight to draw the airbox together. If the split is sealed properly then this should be a permanent fix till next air filter change. Leave the airbox for the sealer to cure then refit and test. If unsure i will try to get some pics posted
