Dates not confirmed yet but got a few interested in going its a mega roadtrip to lake como via france Switzerland and the alps!! With hope of catching and italian car meet and hopefully if that happens and there's enough going a mini ff stand (thanks for the suggestion Wisey) anyway its gonna be in the summer of 2014 so plenty of time for people to add themselves over the coming months ill be updating it with prices ect ect also setting an event up on facebook for those who use it more then here which will be made in the coming week with a link to it posted on here when sorted out.
Thanks for reading guys lets make this trip EPIC and one to remember!! oh btw reason for the trip is to give my gp a fairwell run before I get rid of her and a chance to hang with awesome people on here .

SamGP94 Think its 18 just looked on wikipedia and for france italy and switz it says 18 but dont hold me to that one also it says something about a european driving pass but thats 5.50 and you have to be 18 or over to get one im gonna get european cover on mine never no with puntos plus its piece of mind haha

For anyone who may find this useful in aiding your decision about this EPIC voyage across 4 European Countries.

GOV.UK on driving abroad
-France/Switzerland/Italy all accept UK Licenses, and people are to be 18+ to drive legally within their Countries.
-Each country has their own laws (makes sense), haven't yet found these individual laws.
-Also says you need a permit for driving outside the EU/EEA (Switzerland is neither, but counts within EU/EEA driving regulations) ((this entire point is invalid to us, as we are driving within the EU/EEA +Switzerland

Sums it up really. This will be well worth it, once in a lifetime. puntoboii, i hope you structure the 'Event' blurb somewhat better (ie clearer, concise) as more information is discussed/finalised over the coming months

Wisey it will be structured and clear in time to come im just looking at eurotunnel prices and if I can get more then 10 of us going I can open up and account and get frequent travel tickets at £43 each way I dont wanna mess about with ferries as they take to long!! Lmao

Don't forget Bulbs, Warning Triangle, 1st Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher and High Vis though I can't recall from our Spa Italia/Ring trip which country needs which.

Does sound an epic trip and the International Punto Meet always looks pretty epic!

For anyone who has an old style driving license without a photo, it's advisable to have a 1949 version IDP (International Driving Permit). £5.50 from the AA or some major Post Offices.

When you consider that if you go via the tunnel, you'll have to stop on route somewhere to eat, whereas you can eat on the ferry while crossing, The ferry works out quicker.

Since November 2012, you must carry an unused NF approved breathalyser while driving in France. On the spot fine if you don't. Best to carry 2, because if the police tell you to use 1, you then won't have an unused one.

The AA website has a lot of useful information about driving in Europe.
