I'm aware of the difference in dangerous driving and speeding, but there is a limit where speeding becomes dangerous driving surely?!

If a tyre blew, he'd have killed himself. Did the judge not take that into consideration?

Nahhh surely not!

In this instance, it seems overtaking was perfectly reasonable. 150mph to do so was not reasonable though.

Exceeding statutory speed limit. guilty. he should be punished accordingly (ie banned for that speed)
not having insurance? guilty. he should lose his license for that, or at least face a hefty ban and fine!

When I was 24, there was only one speed limit, 30 in a built up area; fast as you could anywhere else!
