whats the legal spec of it, eg-how much of the headlight are you allowed to cover for it to pass its MOT?

i think it can be any size and shape provided it doesn't blind the driver coming the other way. Don't think there is a minimum brightness but could well be wrong!

i think about 2cm is as much as you could risk covering at the top, or you will risk cutting off too much light. i think the MOT covers beam pattern and angle, but not total output. but if too much is covered it'll give a fai reading for beam pattern anyway

dont worry the garage check the beam with the bonet up! allways! so thay can adjust the lights!!!

How do you go about getting bonnet extensions? is it something a garage / bodyshop has to do or can it be easily done at home?
I bought some 'eyebrows' but they still dont look just right.... call me a perfectionist....!!
