I found out I had run out of screenwash, but when I tried lifting the bonnet, I found it would not move at all. The handle under the steering wheel seems to be ok, there is a little resistance, but the catch that holds the bonnet down is not moving at all. Is there any way I can get the bonnet to lift up?

mine did this, i kept working the handle for a bit then pulled the bonnet up with managed to free it. i then put some copper slip on and it has been fine since

Get someone to pull up on the bonnet while you pull the handle, it should come up, if it does put some grease on the catch.

If not, the cable has probably stretched.

Same happened with mine. I had to pull the bonnet VERY hard to finally get it to lift. Bigger problem is that i have great difficulty getting the sodding thing to close. Even if i drop it from a great height it just bounces up again. I try to avoid opening it now!
