Hi all has anyone done the lower rear track control arm bushes, i need to do this for mot. And just wondered what the best way to do it. please feel free to chime in.

If the bushes are press fitted consider replacing the arm complete . Lots easier.
Get wheel alignment checked afterwards.
 
It may be possible to draw the bushes out, and in with following components.

1. Suitable length of screwed rod, or a long high tensile bolt, that will pass through the bush
2. Minimum 3 nuts for the screwed rod (1 for bolt).
3. Thick washer(s), marginally smaller in OD than the bush.
4. Short length of tube, with square cut ends, to draw the bush into.
5. Larger diameter thick washer to cap the tube.
6. Grease for the screw thread, and nut face.


Many years ago, I used this method to replace some suspension bushes on a Saab 99.
