I'm having an excessif oil consumption on my 2004 ducato 2.8 JTD mileage 135000km . It consumed 2.0 liters oil for the last 1300 km. Before it never needed to be topped up between oil changes. (Oil changed yearly after approx 7000 km/year)

No oil leaks visible, I checked turbo in and outlet and the are clean.

Cooling water no oil mixture.

When removing the oil filler cap I have some oil mist under light pressure. Doesn't seem too important to me.

No power loss while driving, no starting problems.
Are these engines known for piston ring or other problems?

these engines are usually very tough-main non mechanical possible probs are blocked breathers or poor quality oil-try another oil change to discount it -but a fiat main dealer would put that in the acceptable "normal" range -my x250 has 195000 kms and does,nt drink a single drop of oil between changes
