:bang: Hi all, I have now started my 1988 ducato ( it had been standing for three years) only to find i cannot control the revs even though the accelerator is working perfectly fine. No sooner do I switch on the engine when the motor revs off the clock .... I then have to switch it off. I switch on the engine .

I have limited knowledge but i believe its got to do with the fuel / injector pump.... any thoughts, suggestions or ideas will be appreciated..

P.S. i believe removing the injector pump is a major challenge as its also connected to the timing belt?.

Governor in injector pump is stuck open. Diaphragm probably punctured.
