Does anybody know why on the ducato maxi xlwb version the rear fog lights are mounted on/in the rear bumper but are in the light cluster on all other ducatos. Also I can see the bulbs in the light cluster in my maxi van but they do not come on only the ones in the rear bumber, very strange ???

I understand that it is because by law fog lights must be at a maximum height of 1000mm above ground level. The Maxi which is on a bigger chassis and 16 inch wheels the original foglight positions would be above that.
I have a similar situation on my Rapido motorhome where the fog lights in the rear light clusters on both sides have been disabled and a single fog light fixed into the rear fairing at lower level.

Thanks for that. Although there are two foglights each side of the bumper only the drivers side works. If I am driving over in France etc should the passenger side rear be working aswell ??

I did read somewhere something to do with why on the Euro 5 build onwards they only have one working as to the two on earlier built ducato's
And cannot remember what it was :)

My French built motorhome has only one working fog light as it left the manufacturer for reasons I explained. The two unused ones are in the light cluster. The single fog light is on the UK side as the vehicle is RHD and complies with UK law and passes MOT's.
I have driven many thousands of miles in France and never ever had my lighting or anything else to do with the vehicle checked by any agent of the law.
