Hi all, never posted before so excuse any errors, got an 88 mk1 ducato with 2.0 petrol engine just wondered if anyone knows if the newer ducato engines from mk2-3 will fit in this old motorhome, i ask as I bought this a couple of yrs back as a project but it had sat for a few yrs before that, didn't realise it had no anti freeze in and during the bad winter in 2012 the engine froze causing core plugs to pop out and head gasket to blow, not sure if repair is pos or if other damage been done, it starts and runs but can't hold water as mixes with the oil, I thought a newer engine might be a better option rather than risk a repair that may not work, any advise much appreciated

hi mate, did you get any info regarding changing the engine from a newer ducato after? I am about to buy an old mk1 motorhome with the 2.0l petrol engine and also looking for info. thanks
