well here goes i got the van an it died on my way home an key light came on i had a new fuse box fitterd no joy i had a man cumout an code my key an my ecu was falty so got a virgine ecu on an it firerd up but key lock light came back on.an now just turns over again do i have to get it codderd again or if i do get codderd again will it happen again is there a fault causing the light to cum back on an engine not fireing can eny one help
 
Sounds like fawlty towers, obviously your ecu wasn't faulty and the guy didn't know what he was at. Compelete ecu, immobiliser, key package is about £120 on ebay thats the way I'd go.
 
Sounds like the aerial has gone faulty, mine did the same thing it just plugs in the ecu and clips in around the key hole, easy to fit.

Hi - sounds like a similar problem to mine! My Ducato 2.2 motorhome wouldn't start and the immobiliser/key fault light stayed on. T14086 on this forum suggested checking out the wiring behind the nearside headlight as water can get in and this does seem to be where the problem was! I cut open the wiring harness, examined all the cables and found three suspect ones, pulled them tight and they snapped. I stripped the ends and twisted them back together; the key light (immobiliser) then went out and it starts every time. Have now put the wiring harness back together.
