Technical 2013 Fiat Ducato wont start

Hi all, im new to the forum life so please go easy on me lol. After removing an old A/C Compressor from my Ca.pervan conversion the van just won't start. Reason for removal is it doesn't have A/C. Not too sure if it was from its previous life as a Refridgerator van. I'm not even getting a click on the ignition so don't think it's the starter motor sticking. The van has been stood for a few weeks as the EGR system was leaking badly. Any advice greatly appreciated TIA Steve.

What voltage does the battery read?

Hi, the battery is reading 12v

Next check would be checking integrity of main engine earth strap and its connections.

That is my next step thanks. Just put the charger to the start battery and it's reading 13.7v.

During charging it will read over, but 30 minutes after disconnecting a good battery should a resting voltage of ~12.6v
