Hi folks I wonder if someone could please shed some light on a problem.

I have a Doblo 2008 1.9D multijet with aircon. Every few days the fuse blows for the cabin fan, mostly when switched to position 4 (high) some days its fine then all of a sudden it will blow the 30amp fuse, i replace the fuse then its ok for a few days then it might blow again. Recently it had the fan resister replaced (genuine Fiat part) with no problems thereafter at all, this is a recent problem. I have pulled the fan motor out looking for possible problems, it runs ok and sounds in good condition.

Could it be an occasional fault with the fan switch it self or the motor?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Wiring fault perhaps?
Wire with insulation worn so place and a bump causing the wiring to move and short out some place?

Is your pollen filter nice and clean if not change it

the fan could be struggling if the pollen filter is blocked
