Dear All, I am hoping that one person on this planet, can help me start this 1.3 jtd multijet, ex Post office van on a 06 reg. It all started when the clutch went one morning. I fitted a new clutch, put it all back together and it would not start. After a day or two we managed to get it started, i left it running for a couple of hours, turned it off, then the next day i went to start it, and turned over perfectly, but would not start, one other odd time i started it in the morning .used it all day without a problem, then yes!!!!!!! would not start next day, and has never gone since. I did put a new pump in the fuel tank. At the moment it turns over fine, but will not fire or start. I have put a new TDC/ flywheel sensor on but no difference what so ever. Any ideas how ever small or large would be very very helpfull.

Further to my last message, about my ex postie van that will not fire or run at any price?? I have put the code reader on yesterday. and while it was on ignition it came up with the code, P0089. Does any nice person know exactly what it means???? or know what to try next. At the moment ,the only way this van will run, would be put petrol under it!!!!!!!!. Thanking you all in advance.

Couple of things to try
Had similar nightmare with my older 1.9JTD. Mine was just the fuel relay.
I'm talking 1.9JTD but would have thought there might be similarities with the 1.3. Have you got a multimeter? Try taking a volt reading off the tank lift pump electric feed. The two thinner wires are the guage but the thicker ones are the electric feed. If you can't get a reading that will give you a pointer if it's the electric feed or lift pump.
For mine, the cure was the relays in the cabin fuse board (under the steering wheel). Disconnected all four relays and plugged back in (because I didn't know which ones were lift pump feed related). I also swapped the two similar relays over with each other. I got lucky because after replugging in relays, I could hear the lift pump motor buzzing.
The other thing to try is the inertia fuel cut off switch. On mine the cut off switch is located behind the plastic cover - drivers side front door just in front of the door hinges. You'll fine a cut out segment which you can get your finger into to push the rubber plunger/switch down. Apparently, this resets it should it have been activated.
