:( Grrrrrr........

Just when you get a car that you like and its doing everything you expect of it, someone comes along and spoils it. I was sitting in the car with the engine off having a cuppa when someone drove into the front. Coffee all over me :yuck: Needs a new bumper and wing. :bang:

Luckily the other drivers insurer played ball straight away and its gone off to be fixed. Oh well, I suppose its one way to get the stone chips tidied-up at the front

At least (s)he was insured. It is said that 1 in 5 UK drivers are uninsured. I reckon that most of them are in nefarious areas of our inner-cities (like where I was brought-up). In some suburbs it could be nearer 80%. Scary prospect!!

Sadly not even been assessed. Its the busiest time of the year for me and I haven't had a day off since it happened. Should be getting it checked over in the next few days. :shakehead:

Got the car back and they made a super job of it, perfect paint match. Had a Fiat 500 as a loan car which I found really disappointing as it didn't live up to the hype. I put some comments about it over on the 500 forum.

Its good to be back to normal motoring (y)

I read you post on the 500 Yobbo, and largely agree, but then the 500 is not intended to be a universal car, it has been sold from day one as a fashion icon and the selling technique has worked brilliantly.

I am in the miserable situation of having a Doblo that is becoming tired. it's had new wishbones, two bits of exhaust, new wiper mechanism, a new radiator, the usual replcement items, including all new brakes, front and rear, and now the tailgate struts are getting weak and the central locking on the tailgate has failed. So it needs to go really, especially as I am a bit concerned about the clutch, which at 90,000 miles is supposed to be living on borrowed time, according to the pundits

But what to repalce it with?????

The new Doblo is just too expensive and the Qubo is also dear, and somehow not right, and seems to have too many endemic problems from what I read here... I'm totally flummoxed.

My Doblo was cheap, and the only near replacement is the forthcoming Dacia Duster, as I have mentioned before. The height and the 8" ground clearance appeal greatly, as does the relative simplicity and the vast boot.

I won't buy second hand because I want the best guarantee possible with the peace of mind that affords.

What to do... watch this space..:bang:
