Posts: 155 Thanks: 1 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() Hi new in here , I've a doblo 1.3 family multijet, silver, bought brand new from Jam Jar for £8500(on the road with 12months tax) in feb 05 , beat that one !! Well i've bought and fitted the great " 3 silver alu roof rails" , cost £164.00 but worth it. Plus £34.00 for the mud flaps !! Now i'm after some alloys The fiat doblo standard ones are boring, anyone put 15, even 16 inch ones on thier doblo ? Has anyone put on alloys off other fiats. I've done some research , but actual installation experince may prevent the wrong purchase !!! ![]()

The alloys for a punto will exactly fit the doblo , so what fits to a punto should be OK , there are loads of different styles . If any problems I seen lots of companies who supply spacers....

![]() | ![]() You can fit 17" on a Doblo with spacers, see the last post on This Thread. HOWEVER! Be warned, I have been put off putting bigger alloys on my Doblo because a few people I have spoken to have had suspension problems after fitting and using alloy wheels, plus you really wont get much wear out of your tyres, they'll need replacing at least three times a year depending on mileage. 15" probably isn't too bad, but 17" and maybe even 16" could cause you problems. Although don't be put off just by what I said, do your own research if you so wish. If you like them though, go for them, I think the doblo looks sweet with them, and as I said check out the post above, theres a pic too! ![]()

I did enquire about getting my wheels shot blasted and powder coated but that is £40 per wheel plus the cost of getting the tyres removed, refitted and balanced. Mine only has centre hub caps rather than full wheel trims so perhaps wheel trims from the Punto would fit and not be an obvious deviation from original trim.

The cost of a good set of s/h alloys compared with steel refurb , theres no contest ? Have a look around I'm sure you'll find some ... Having alloys would be a cheap option , it would also make your car/van worth a bit more !!

![]() | ![]() Yeah, that combination should fit, but you may need wheel spacers, if you do don't go too big as you'll put extra pressures on the suspension and could cause yourself problems. I'd be quite intrested in putting some alloys on in the furute so post us all some pics and tell us how you get on! ![]()

Posts: 155 Thanks: 1 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() Ok They are now fiitted didn't need spacers.. .. photos "attached" , you also might notice the wind deflectors which i purchased via the web from germany.... just an A bar to be fitted before summer.. then its finished... tech data : wheel 17 inch, 205/40 17 tyres offset ET35 PCD 98. As an after thought the tyres could have been 205/50-55's but I'll do that at the next tyre change. The cost inc locking wheel nuts / chrome valves / delivery = £389.00 Beat that one..
