A bit difficult to describe but basically my 1.9jtd doblo has a weird new feature. On acceleration, rather than a smooth increase of speed, it acelerates but drives like you are on a road with a series of hills - (said it was hard to describe) - its almost like its engine braking very slightly as you accelerate. Engine sounds great, still gets to good speed, but with these weird 'waves' or lumps'

Seemed better after air/fuel filter change but problem soon returned. seems worse when its hot and aircon on full.

My garage plug it in for diagnostics and the fault was showing a speedo
/sender fault - but the problem isn't the reading on the speedo - the car actually seems like there is resistance or a starving of fuel, but only temporarily.

He thinks the speedo fault might just be sypmtomatic and doesn't just want to replace the speedo module if there is another underlying fault.

The speedo fault code cleared after the diagnostic session and it drove fine for a week, but problem is now back (as warm weather has returned?!)

Doblo due back in for more diagnostics on wednesday but i wondered if anyone had any ideas what might be casuing this?

The only other snippet that might help is that a few weeks ago the milage reading went to 888888888 for a split second - but returned to normal when I restarted the car (not a battery problem as new battery fitted and stereo didn't need code) Could this have knackered some settings somewhere or are these all symptoms of some other ecu/wiring problem. Need car sorted pdq as off to Italy in it in two weeks! Don't want it to die in its homeland!

Also - what should I be paying for a new rad?

Cheers

Erin:confused:
